Those who say loadshedding are cleva like anc voters, nè?

First you go on about "disconnect the thieves first" blah blah blah. They just said "you are right, it's because of the thieves" but no, now you go "its loadshedding"

It's not structured, pre-planned loadshedding, sure, but at the first hint of chilly weather it shows the core issues behind last year's planned power cuts are very much still with us. Not that it's a surprise, of course. Proudly brought to you by the ANC, through years of complacency and incompetence.

So am I suddenly in a national keypoint area or something that we don't get shed?

Loadshedding: preplanned power cuts when whole load cant be carried

Black out: unplanned power outages.

These are just black outs. I don't point to my car and say "here is my dog", I use the right name, "here is my car". We had a faulty line in the area about 4 years back, the power would trip every night at almost the same time for 2 weeks before they bothered putting in a new line.

So it's happening, but no one will admit it.

Agreed. Last week our area was without power - apparently some cable got burnt but the contractors were waiting for material to perform the job from 7 am when the contractors were on-site they only received the material at 5 pm and power was only restored at 11 PM... City Power aren't transparent what the cause was

City power only have one MV team available per shift.
They are hopelessly undermanned and their stores/stock management process is a joke.

I didn't say anything to the contrary, did I? :p

I was merely thinking out loud; I too am annoyed that any dip in power supply is now suddenly 'loadshedding' in common vernacular.

A major substation caught fire in my neighborhood about 2 weeks ago, miraculously whatever was powering my home was undamaged. People across the street were without power for 4 days, and I was without interwebs for 4 days  but at least I could have warm showers :whistling:

Unfortunately I missed the actual fire, but here's a pic of the response

So many substations have "burnt down" or had "cables stolen". Such lies.
