Just wait, a vote of 50% + 1 (which will be VP Harris) in the Senate can prohibit him from ever holding public office again, even without convicting (which needs ⅔rds), I bet that will be the ultimate infuriation for the orange baby.

You mean the 14th amendment? That's not how that works.

For Trump to be impeached, the article must pass a majority vote in the House before it can be sent to the Senate for a trial. The measure then requires two-thirds support in the Senate for the president to be convicted and removed from office.

Then, Baron explained, a subsequent Senate vote, “historically involving only a simple majority”, could then bar the impeached president from ever holding public office again.

Ya know, I think its a shame that Trump got impeached.
All he has tried to do, is make America great again ...........

They stole the election, stopped his wall, hoofed the poor chap off Fb and deleted his twitter account....... and I hear now that he is being blamed for that Antifa nonsense at the Capitol!!

Socialist democratic liberal thugs ........ :notworthy:

Which is interesting, because then there's no reason to transmit it to the Senate now, since McConnell isn't bring the Senate back into session anyway. He'll be gone after the 20th, then have the Dem majority bar him from holding office.

Most reports say the impeachment hearing and vote will happen after the 20th.

Hmm, isn't he only impeached once the Senate votes in favour of it? Just like last time they tried to impeach him, but he actually wasn't because the Senate didn't pass it?

No, impeachment is the name for what happens in the House of Representatives. The trial in the Senate leads to conviction or acquittal.

He's been impeached twice because the HoR passed articles of impeachment against him, twice.
