One more day for you lot to have these stupid debates. Biden will by sworn in tomorrow and this thread should be closed.
There is nothing worth squat left for debate.
IT IS OVER! MOVE ON NOW!
 as if there is not a minimum of another 4 years of the anti-Trumpers glossing over every mistake Biden makes with the excuse that "at least he isn't Trump"

with high (or any) minimum wage Americans legally can't get employed if they're not worth at least minimum wage, but illegals can, you're breaking the law anyway, what's one more law to break?

low (or no) minimum wage means Americans who's labour isn't worth much will still have a job and illegals will have to cut their wage expectations MUCH lower than it already is

high minimum wage = more illegals
no minimum wage = less illegals

The thing you're missing is that your wage isn't entirely due to value of labour due to firms in certain areas having large power over your wages which might be entirely unrelated to your productivity. Indeed, in many of these one-horse towns, there are only a few employers. I guess your retort would be for such people to move, but some people are rooted in the places they grew up in for a number of reasons and do not make job decisions based purely on economic decisions.

Could be worse. Could be Jon McNaughton.

Absolutely, move!

It is not the government OR the corporations' problem to make you more employable, it is yours.

Whether that means working extra hard and tightening belts in order to afford an education to qualify you for higher paying jobs, or it means relocating to somewhere where you can earn a higher wage doesn't make any difference. It is your problem to solve, not the government's, not the corporations' and sure as hell not mine in the shape of direct and indirect taxation.

a gorgeous display of the lack of support the new president has ... better to replace the vast emptiness that normally would be a sea of supporters with flags, I'm sure Sadam did the same shyte
Yes, NBFTL, the man who received the most votes ever in any US election suffers from a lack of support.

If you are going to make reference to Iraq, then allow me to suggest your similarity to Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf.

Shhhh, don't make people think looking after the average American is more important than say... oh I don't know, spending billions of tax payer dollars to bail out corporations / supply the rich with tax cuts that they seriously do not need and give covid relief to multi-millionaires (including owners of mega-churches).

A public service announcement for the Trumpfolk in this thread.

Your defence of Donnie this morning will be judged this evening by the pardons he issues today.

Proceed accordingly.
