Well, they looked at evidence from other countries as well, not just the UK. This evidence, being a review, is looking back i.e. what actually happened. Different to Brexit predictions which were forecasts i.e. what could happen.
Problem is it is impossible to isolate cause and effect with a macro level change.

When the economy is booming and you introduce minimum wage, you cannot conclude that it didn't cause unemployment, but you can't measure that as the booming economy overshadows the negative impact.

On the flip side if unemployment shoots higher during a pandemic, you cannot blame minimum wage for that either.

When the macro impact becomes difficult or essentially impossible to measure you are left with very few tools, praxeology being one of those. Forcefully increasing the cost of labour will have a knock on effect, it must.

Prices can rise to accommodate the increased cost, or profits can fall to do the same, or costs can be cut where possible. Which is most likely? Consumers accepting a big price hike vs corporations being content with lower profit vs getting rid of an abundance of unskilled labour ...

Belief in voter fraud at this point is at the same level as belief in a God for these folks.

Evidence, historic record, logical thinking... none of these things are gonna change their minds.

Best to just move on with reality and let them gnash their teeth on their own.
Would you trust the ANC to run an election with the US rules? No ID needed, your votes are collected by the post office( which is effectively bankrupt), counting is done without election observers, electronic voting machines issued by some government tender?

Had the US election been run with the same rules as a South African election, there pretty much is no room for any shenanigans. That is how you prevent things like that occurring.
SA's issues are confined to making sure that there are enough ballots going to the voting station and that the ballot boxes are accounted for.

One more day for you lot to have these stupid debates. Biden will by sworn in tomorrow and this thread should be closed.
There is nothing worth squat left for debate.

speaking of Georgia ...
Oh "research" from a fraudulent "researcher"?

So he publishes a single paper, that has not been peer reviewed?

Ok let us see then -

An assessment of the statistical methods he uses and the flaws in his assumptions.

Lott uses an unusual estimation strategy that suffers from a subtle but fundamental flaw: his conclusions about fraud in Fulton and Allegheny counties are entirely dependent on the completely arbitrary order in which pairs of precincts in other counties are entered in the dataset. When we rerun Lott's analysis using an alternative but equally justifiable coding rule, the evidence for anti-Trump fraud in these two counties entirely disappears. When we replace Lott's unusual specification with a more standard estimation strategy, we find absolutely no evidence of fraud. In short, Lott's (2020) analysis provides no evidence of anything distinctive or suspicious about the absentee ballot results in either Fulton County or Allegheny County.

Starting to look like he started with a conclusion in mind and worked backwards ...

He wrote the same type of paper back in 2017, alleging fraud in that election as well. Made the same mathematical errors and faulty assumptions.

feel free to search MyBB, you will find me arguing against government intervention and for personal liberty at almost every opportunity since years before Trump even announced he's running for office

something completely misunderstood by the echo chamber dwellers in this thread: Trump is not some golden god that can do no wrong in the eyes of those who support any/some/even most of his actions

I honestly can't even tell you what Trump's stance is on minimum wage, I know his stance makes no difference to the fact that it is objectively wrong, especially in a country that values freedom

Apparently people should work for no wage and be grateful for the "job" according to some in this thread.

you guys have a very serious mistake.....

who will take a job when the salary is zero?

you guys assumed that people will work for zero, that is impossible and illogical.

IT IS OVER! MOVE ON NOW!

It's not over till Trump's final gross act of exchanging 100 pardons for open bribes and to protect himself from witness indemnification is complete, and he slinks out of the office in shame, following his failed coup attempt. Then there's still his impeachment and public prosecutions that are gonna start hammering him before the ink is wet on Biden's inauguration. The end credits are sometimes the best part of the movie.

So when will folks stop obsessing with Donnie?

When he's out the WH or after his impeachment or after he dies? Or whichever comes first?

Everything you just said, every single part of it is hypothetical. Evidence. You have none. Only belief. Proving my point.

One side wants to regulate what companies play employees, the other side doesn't want the government to regulate what companies pay employees.

I don't really see anyone asking for people to work for no wage and be grateful for the job.
