The whole small government thing the Republican party has been injecting into the culture of their rube supporters since Raegan (as if there's exactly two sizes - big and small - but that's the usual hyperbole their rhetoric is known for) is fundamentally rooted in selfishness.
"Freedom"? Hogwash. They are only interested in their own freedom - Regardless of how many people have to work and be repressed to provide it for them.
A personal quest for maximum freedom at the expense of the freedoms others... There's a name for that. Authoritarianism.

1. It's the first time I've actually responded to you so I don't know where you get off on directing 'repeatedly' at me

2. That is not proof of 'fake' news - fake anything is something that purports to be what it is not - that video, as anyone with half a brain can see, has been edited - that is very different from 'fake'

It quite frankly pisses me off that Trump especially has legitimised people not applying nuance and reducing everything to a binary equation- life is nuanced and shaded, if you don't recognise that then I can't have a dialogue with you.

In the end. The duty of a democratically elected president, in any democratic nation, above all other considerations - Is to uphold the laws of the land. That is duty numero uno. The rest of a president's powers are bureaucratic tinsel.

And that is the very last thing Trump was there for.

You could call Trump's presidency a drive by shooting of US democracy, but really it's closer to a mass drive-by diarrhea s**tting. They won't be able to get his stink out for generations.
It was a thorough, largely intentional attempt to poison the well from start to end.
