Republican leader blocks smaller payment, demands bigger payment. Republican Congress blocks larger payment.

And the Conservatards will blame the Democrats for this.

And the Conservatards will blame the Demtards for this.

C'mon man, get it right.

Of course, and the best ones are logical and funny, yours was neither.
According to you. But some find it funny. Because you don't, does it mean it isn't or just isn't to you? Should others not because you don't?
I am using Jim Beam whiskey in the egg nog, would you? Or am I wrong because you would use something else? What do you use in egg nog? Maybe you wrong. Maybe egg nog for breakfast is wrong because you wouldn't have it for breakfast? But is it wrong because you think so?

Tbh it’s really not funny. How would you even pass out a fortune cookie? It will definitely crack during exit. Maybe use an authentic Chinese food that will easily pass. Like a spring roll.

Yeah the Dems are so perfect né?
Let me see if I have this straight...

The Dem House passed a $3Tn relief bill in May.

It sat on Mitch's desk 'till December.

Repubs want immunity for companies from Covid lawsuits from employees who've contracted the virus and/or died on the job, and won't budge on that. Nett result, relief goes from $3Tn to $900Bn

It passes Congress

Donnie says 'MOAR!'

Dems say, 'Sure, pal. That's what we wanted to begin with'.

Repubs say 'No'.

Coal in America's stocking for Christmas.

Your whatabout-coloured glasses doing you a disservice, Mekon.

I made a comment that your meme was illogical because fortune cookies don't come from China.. You tried to make a funny point, I countered that it was illogical. You are well within your rights to post silly memes, I am well within my rights to point out if I think they are stupid... Beyond that am not really sure what the point of this discussion is?

The point is it's a meme. No one cares if anyone thinks they illogical or stupid. Have a laugh and move on.

K, I wasn't referring to this particular story. Just that everyone supporting the dems seem to think they are perfect. More puzzling is South Africans like TysonRoux who are so invested in American politics.

There is a boat load of misinformation on this thread and people frequently post memes without attribution to make a point in the hopes that blatant falsehoods in meme format won't get called out. You could have taken your own advice and moved on but it seems you want memes to have a free pass at spreading BS...

Hi Mekon,

My name is Greg and I've been fascinated with politics since I was a kid. Local and the US.

I think it has something to do with really political grandparents. It took me a lifetime to get my folks to get out and vote, but my grandparents were another sort... They were for Colin Eglin, as well as Kennedy Democrats. By the time I had things figured out, I was a van Zyl Slabbert guy, and a Carter Democrat.

Anyway, blue, no matter who. For life.

Here's why:

Wilson and the 19th amendment.

Roosevelt and Social Security.

JFK and the moon.

LBJ and the Civil Rights Act.

Carter and education...

... and Obama because yes, we can.

I'll be discussing all of it here, with or without you, for as long as I can post. Get onboard or pull the ejector seat cord now.

Much of the right has this black/white view of the world, without understanding that there are many shades and nuances.

It is possible to be on the left and not think the Democratic Party are perfect. It is possible to be on the left and not be a communist. It is possible to be on the left and disagree with other people on the left. Liberalism is not a monolithic format.

If you perceive that "everyone supporting the dems seem to think they are perfect" then you need to do some more research, because your understanding is at best trivial.

Community colleges in the USA are an underappreciated resource. My mother got a degree through them. This is a great idea:

The current Democratic Party is barely even left anymore, more like center-right, just not as right as the Republicans. The members of the Democratic Party who are truly left, the Progressives like AOC, Sanders, etc are seen as 'radicals', even by the the Democratic party establishment, when actually they are just on the left. The only thing Biden has going for him is that he is 100% better than Trump. That's it. In every other way he, and other establishment democrats like Nancy Pelosi, are way too conservative and hardly left leaning at all. IMO, obviously.
