Georgia counties ordered to restore 4,000 purged voters to rolls before Senate runoff elections

In another court loss for Republicans looking to sabotage our elections, a federal judge in Georgia has ruled that two Georgia counties broke the law when they removed over 4,000 voters from the voting rolls in the weeks between the November elections and the upcoming Georgia Senate runoffs. This one isn't exactly surprising: Georgia's Muscogee and Ben Hill counties purged voters based only on suspected matches between U.S. Postal Service change of address forms and county-registered voters, with no other evidence or attempts to contact those voters.

And as the judge pointed out, the whole thing violated federal law to begin with because it violates the federal ban against voter purges within 90 days of a federal election.

Georgia GOP official informs Trump they've done voter signature matches -- there is a 99.9 percent accuracy

image.jpg

President Donald Trump lashed out at the Georgia election on Tuesday proclaiming that there was no signature match being done for early voting.

Unfortunately for Trump, it's already happening. Georgia's Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger tweeted that the state has been doing the signature matches like every other election in which they must check signatures for mail-in votes. They're fine. In fact, they're more than fine.

In a statement to CNN's Jim Sciuto, Raffensperger said that an audit in Cobb County found "no fraudulent absentee ballots," and Elections Dept had a "99.9% accuracy rate in performing correct signature verification procedures."

N.Y. prosecutor hires forensic accounting experts as Trump criminal probe escalates

Dec. 29, 2020 at 4:59 p.m. EST

NEW YORK — The Manhattan District Attorney's Office has retained forensic accounting specialists to aid its criminal investigation of President Trump and his business operations, as prosecutors ramp up their scrutiny of his company's real estate transactions, according to people familiar with the matter.

District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. opened the investigation in 2018 to examine alleged hush-money payments made to two women who, during Trump’s first presidential campaign, claimed to have had affairs with him years earlier. The probe has since expanded, and now includes the Trump Organization's activities more broadly, said the people familiar with the matter. Vance’s office has suggested in court filings that bank, tax and insurance fraud are areas of exploration.

Vance has contracted with FTI Consulting to look for anomalies among a variety of property deals, and to advise the district attorney on whether the president’s company manipulated the value of certain assets to obtain favorable interest rates and tax breaks, according to a person with knowledge of the investigation who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity because the matter remains highly sensitive. The probe is believed to encompass transactions spanning several years.

The only evidence that can credibly traced back to any sort of Russian activity regarding the 2016 election was a bunch of adverts that Russians paid for on social media.

America can sanction China for stealing Pluto if they like, that doesn't make it true. To call the Biden/China stuff weak while also trying to prosecute an even weaker Trump/Russia case is hilarious.

Murder turtle gets a temporary reprieve. This is some really clever politics. Now the Dems get to prove to the world that they actually care about their tech oligopoly more than they care about the welfare American public at large. :sneaky:

So your big gotcha is the Dems need to prove how they don't care about the American people, yet you are very happy that this proves the Republicans certainly don't care about the American people at all in anyway shape or form.

This really just makes you look silly.

ORRRRRR I think repealing section 230 is in the best interests of the American people, even if it kills off social media as a viable business enterprise. Same goes for an investigation into voter fraud.

The Internet Research Agency (IRA), based in Saint Petersburg, Russia and described as a troll farm, created thousands of social media accounts that purported to be Americans supporting radical political groups and planned or promoted events in support of Trump and against Clinton. They reached millions of social media users between 2013 and 2017. Fabricated articles and disinformation were spread from Russian government-controlled media, and promoted on social media.
This is the credible part, as I initially indicated.

Additionally, computer hackers affiliated with the Russian military intelligence service (GRU) infiltrated information systems of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and Clinton campaign officials, notably chairman John Podesta, and publicly released stolen files and emails through DCLeaks, Guccifer 2.0 and WikiLeaks during the election campaign. Several individuals connected to Russia contacted various Trump campaign associates, offering business opportunities to the Trump Organization and proferring damaging information on Clinton. Russian government officials have denied involvement in any of the hacks or leaks.
This is the non-credible speculation which you have no real evidence for, just suspicion. The evidence against Joe/Hunter Biden is much much stronger than anything regarding Russian hackers and the DNC.

But what does section 230 have to do with Covid-19?
