I've been every time, but never really noticed the light and conditions :/

If anyone else has been in the past and taken photos, should I take the kit 18-55 or the 28mm 2.8? Don't want to take both

f2.8 ftw ... used 50mm f1.8 last time around and found the focal length a tad to long for most situations ... the 28mm should be perfect

Unfortunately I'm stuck my kit lens this year so I'm hoping for the best :(

To be honest (and having been to JIMS yesterday) I have to say it all depends on when you are going ... yesterday was a mad house and trying to get the whole car in frame even at 18mm proved to be a struggle at times, especially at the more popular displays.

Majority of my shots were between 24mm and 35mm though

Yea - just got back .... wasn't nearly as bad the weekend, but you're right about the more popular displays (ie M5)

I did take the 28mm in the end, so all good!

I didn't say they were GOOD pics ;)

They're 'snapshots' ;)

Snapshots indeed :)

with so many people milling about you just have to take your chances and snap away!
