Join President Ramaphosa's virtual book club

Bookworms can now sign up and join the President’s Reading Circle - a virtual book club - to enjoy recommended page turners.

President Cyril Ramaphosa’s reading circle, an offshoot of the National Reading Coalition (NRC), offers book lovers a chance to get lost in the world of books and share their views on the books with the President through the chat service on the site.

I don't read books anymore, now I listen to them instead - due to advancing age and deteriorating eye sight.

No thank you!

Cyril Ramaphosa should rather focus on running the country and saving the economy than starting book clubs.

How about no... When he has a decent list of useful books on it maybe, but random fiction crap is not good enough.

Also wtf is a Champion reader? And Cyril has "authored" one book relating to Cattle.... granted it means the statement is accurate that he is a published author, but still its hardly something I'd be crowing about from the rooftops.

14 books?

That the best he can come up with, so he does not think much of the initiative, otherwise surely he would have gone to enough trouble to get a decent amount of decent books included.

Sounds like most would like to be on ex-president's harem list instead of this.

Pity his people are burning libraries faster than anyone can finish his book club list.

The study found that 78% of South African pupils at this level could not read for meaning.

That is a damning ANC legacy representing 25 years of absolute criminal negligence. It is deserving of a criminal tribunal of its own.

Spoiler alert, the highest rated books include:
- Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler
- The Communist Manifesto by Marx and Engels
- Manifesto of the Petrograd Soviet by Leon Trotsky
- How to play the race card in literally any situation by the ANC
