Joining Netflix, YouTube and Spotify won't make dedicated apps for Apple Vision Pro

Google’s YouTube and Spotify Technology SA, the world’s most popular video and music services, are joining Netflix Inc. in steering clear of Apple Inc.’s upcoming mixed-reality headset.

YouTube said in a statement Thursday that it isn’t planning to launch a new app for the Apple Vision Pro, nor will it allow its longstanding iPad application to work on the device — at least, for now.

Netflix and a couple of other streaming services haven't bothered to make proper apps for any other VR headsets either, so at least they're consistent.

Who cares?

YouTube and Spotify will not offer native apps for Apple Vision Pro

Whilst technology is cool and all, do we need ar glasses?
What problem does it solve?
It doesn’t need to.

It’s expensive. It’s Apple. Its elevates your self worth. It doesn’t matter it can’t Netflix or YouTube, or it streams at 720p. Apple users ‘don’t care’ .

Let them be!

I was more asking why humanity needs VR goggles.

What benefit do I have vs watching something on a tv/phone/screen?
Now if it something like neuralink I can see a use case.
But swopping a screen for two small screens 2" from my eye, whilst obscuring my peripheral vision and forcing me to wear 300g, not so much.
