Can you please vote for the five journalists who you think should be short listed for this year’s ‘MyBroadband People’s Choice ICT journalist of the year’ (this poll allows for multiple selections). This list was compiled from feedback from a group of MyADSL members and a few outside experts, but if you feel a certain journalist should be part of the short list and is not part of the poll, please just give their name here.

Do we have a list of great articles by these journalists on telecoms so we can do side by side comparisons?

Let's get Jon Qwelane to write an article about the broadband situation in South Africa...

I'm sure he'll have illuminating theories regarding the thieving white man draining SA's bandwidth through the phonelines.

Good idea Wizard - can someone (administration) put article links in - perhaps next year it can be hyperlinked to their name

erm..... I'll see what I can do lter today. I'm aware of what most of these journalists have written over the past year- they all have very different styles, different deadlines, different target audiences.... so it actually is quite difficult to say that one is better than the other and so on. Later.

Why vote for....

Rob Rose - he doesn't mince his words, he calls a duck a duck, has written by far some of the boldest articles
Toby Shapshak - writes about the industry in an easy-to-understand way, especially for those who don't follow telecoms news daily
Paul Vechiatto - brings us the important stuff from parliament, the DoC and the PPCC
Damaria Senne - let's us know what ICASA's doing, or not doing, or should be doing
Thabiso Mochiko - another steady journalist who's articles are widely read; he also writes in a way that is easy for people to get the gist of the current telecoms happenings
Duncan McLeod - needs little intro on the forums :) For me his FMTech blog has been an awesome addition this year
Lloyd Gedye - like dm, seems to have a lot of 'insider' sources, he completes pictures for us by telling us stuff we otherwise wouldn't ever hear about
Ben Kelly - shares our sentiments about all the buggaring around and sneaky telkomness and makes sure a wider audience knows
Belinda Anderson - also needs no intro on the forum!

Jana Marais - eish, I don't know enough about- someone who does pls give us the low down.
Great summary Debbie!

Jana Marais – Writes for Rapport and is fast becoming one of the more insightful writers in the telecoms space.
