New Bandwidth restrictions

Does this not mean that all the iBurst contracts that were intially entered into are now null en void, since this change puts a whole new meaning to Broadband. I thought that the whole policy and meaning of brandband was a bandwidth "pipe" that one paid for, regards on time and data capcity sent.

When are the network providers going to catch a wakeup and provider consumers in SA a decent way of connecting to the NET?

Makes me shulder thinking of 2MB pipes in other countries @ rates of 20 pounds?

Mmmm, OK, I'm in the same boat now. I got capped about 5 minutes ago. I was busy downloading a few international. threads. They all stopped dead. Zero bytes transmitted/received. I tried the ADSL site and it took forever to load. A few bytes per second.

All that worked was iBurst helpdesk site. I bought 3Gig. After I clicked on the final OK button, the international DL started again. So I'll vote in your poll now.

I was never an abuser or cut off.

F@cking bastards.

PS: BW reports? What is a BW report? Ooooh yes, I nooow remember. No, no BW reports.

JasonH, seems that the 64Kbit throttled connection is pathetic at the moment.
I have forced my self to keep bandwidth until end of the month, so I can still use my iBurst.

I'm capped ... and browsing is OK, sometimes large pages need re-load to complete ... as per my post ... http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=23789

Using UTD to Kyalami tower with connection permanently logged in by D-link router.

Suppose everyones milage varies ... wish we could figure out why some people have such a bad experience while others (like me) are having a reasonable time?
