rgr slim, maybe he should start it over and make it more straight forward without splitting it up.

If it was not for jjtoymachine then I'd say they were only hitting the people they accused of previous abuse, but since he also slowed down it sorta confuses things a bit.

Give it more time as others have probably not hit their limits yet and have not voted.

What makes me so made is the "we actually dont care a damn attitude" that they have adopted.
The
"couldnt care less"
"we obviously only want your money"
"we actually dont want to know if you happy or not"
"customers? they need us!"

All of which is quite true as no matter what happens they will end up with the customers that they want.....those that do not exceed their caps.

I have to stretch mine out as I have no intentions of buying more bandwidth, but even so I will hit the limit within a few days from now.

Will probably have to use dialup to do the poll though.

Regret to say that is absolutely right............
So they dont even see the way they go about it as being incorrect, nor do they see myadsl as a threat at all, or the 1 unhappy customer tells 12 others theory either, hey maybe first world values and standards dont count in BEE company.
Maybe my ideology regarding customer service is old and outdated, it doesnt work in a BEE enviroment?
What they are missing though is that today's mom'n pop email is tommorows bandwidth hog............... eventually they will run out of road.
Its took sentouche long enuough to recover , (and they not out the woods yet) and WBS are walking a very similar path of self destruction.

What really makes me mad is that they could at least send out a general email to all customers stating what their policy is going to be with or without the 64k after cap.

That way it would stop this guessing and give those that wish to leave a chance to get their adsl connections ordered.

With them just keeping quiet is doing them more harm than good as far as I'm concernd.

Without the dialup as backup I'd be in cr@p as I need a connection for my banking etc.
When I got iBurst I at least thought that the connection will still be there even if slow after hitting the cap.
Right now without them communicating with us we do not know where the hell we stand.

At a quick glance I'd say drop (5) and combine (7) and (8) as one.
Also combine (9) snd (10) as one.

It's all in the wording :), and there will be some customers that never had their accounts suspended, but are now regarded [by WBS] as abusers of the iBurst network - even though WBS would never have communicated this new bad-dude/dudette status to customers - you'd have to look at your own usage, and if you know that it's beyond WBS' opinion of "reasonable", then chances are that you have been singled out as an "Abuser"...

And what would wbs consider a "reasonable" limit beyond the cap?

How can I keep track of how much I am using if (a) the bandwidth email does not get to me, (b) the webpage bandwidth monitor is incorrect as it sits at a certain amount for days on end and then jumps down all of a sudden.

I cannot keep track using DU meter as I transfer files etc. between my 4 PCs and that also counts as transfers according to DU meter.

If anyone can tell me what I can do to keep track of usage given the above, then please let me know how I can do it.

Use bandwidth monitor pro...you can configure it to just count the iburst connection.

Thanks P0tenc I will check it out, but I can't see how it will be able to sense iburst bandwidth only as the same network card is used for the network to the other PCs' as well as the modem via the router.

never the less I will check it out.
