Create a virtual secure portal between the Start Trek & Star Wars universes and allow them to do battle. This will settle the argument once and for all as to which is better ;)

Ok so that made me laugh, but seriously any good cisco config sites I can look at for ideas?

Looking to do things like.

1.) Traffic shaping per ip / mac / network port
2.) Bandwidth logging per ip / mac / network port
3.) Setting up of ratios e.g. 6 people online = line divided by 6, 1 person online = full linespeed.

Any good documentation I can look at? New to Cisco.

Thanks
J

But why? ITS A FIREWALL!!!!!!!!! Yes you can shape your traffic monitor traffic and all the other cisco IOS based commands BUT ITS A firewall. A adaptive firewall. I could have saved you R950 with just one word "GNS3" get it if you want to play around. But buying a small ASA just to play around with is a waste. You need to run it on a network 10+ PC to enjoy the features. No point in having it for a lab. And if you have to ask what to do with it..... use it as a paper weight.

Sorry

I agree to a point, but dynamips doesnt exactly emulate the ASA's very well, routers yes, but i have found alot of issues with the ASA stuff...
