Neither do I, but I don’t go about writing in finweek about it now do I? And what is wrong with a young student putting his ideas in motion?
And what is wrong with someone annoyed with Faceboook writing about it in Finweek?
Fact is, Facebook isn't going to change the world, it is a silly internet fad, just like Myspace was, and soon people will lose interest and it will go the same way. "One million people against crime in South Africa" is not going to cause all the criminals to suddenly go "Oh, hang on a sec, there is a Facebook group with over one million people against crime. What on Earth were we thinking? Let's go volunteer at an old age home".
The problem with Facebook isn't so much that most of the world uses it, but rather that they try to elevate it from a "fun social website" to something akin to a congressional court.
