And? Maybe use condoms and the pill etc. Like a responsible adult.

We are living in a world which acts like there are no consequences to irresponsible actions.

Babies are not magically created. Abortions should not be used as a form of birth control.

You forget this is America where the medical industry is a benefit to the 1% and the 1% only.

Quite likely people can’t afford to use the pill because the broken industry has made it impossible to afford.

And therefore the baby problem exists in the first place.

Now where exactly did I mention that guns are the problem? You jumped straight to that conclusion all by yourself - well done!

Thank you very much, so what is your take on this is I may ask?

They can try condoms or stop hooking up with every second John or Jill.

America (Western World) over the last couple of decades embraced this freedom of sex, no strings attached, no commitment. But it does not work totally like that, sometimes you get caught out and then you need to live with consequences.

But is in the past when the majority was liberal SCOTUS was ok, now that it's conservative leaning is must go.

Well at the rate people are leaving CA soon they will only have one senator.

This notation that the voting system is not working and needs reform is a Democrate play because they need a way to stay in power. Their policies are not working and they loosing support.
Republicans last won a popular vote in 2004, and the last time prior to that was 1988.

The Electoral College keeps them in the game, but sure, Dems staying in power or whatever.

You argument from democracy is rather inconsistent.

The imposition of Roe v Wade in 1973 was not a democratic decision. It was 9 judges who took away the electorate's decision.

Whatever your personal views on abortion, from a democratic and constitutional viewpoint, the overturn of Roe v Wade is a victory for democracy. Until today's decision, it has not been possible for 49 years for voters in the United States to decide on the legality or otherwise of abortion.

If you're a small- or big-D democrat (I am neither) you should rejoice in the overturn of Roe v Wade because the matter is now returned to the people.

Of course, as history amply attests (as does our experience in SA), majorities can make appallingly bad decisions.

And how is all this going to pan out while there is no paid for maternity leave in place?

No accessible healthcare?

No mental health care postpartum.

How many babies are going to die anyway because people can’t afford to have them or sustain them.

If you can not afford children do not make them.

He thinks the idea of the abolishment of the Supreme Court is a good idea... This is not a person for the Constitution, or democracy, because he does not seem to understand how the one (the Constitution) cannot exist without the other (the Supreme Court).

To think, it can all be avoided by the simple use of condoms.

It is USA, not the middle of nowhere, **** even in SA, they seem to bring up kids using R350 grants p.m.

that depends on how you define the majorities

there is a difference between the majority, and the majority vote
