I have Kaspersky installed on the new PC.

I get a message that it is not turned on and when I try to do so, I get prompted to select 'I TRUST THE PUBLISHER AND WANT TO RUN THE PROGRAM' but when I do so, a rmessage comes up "Files and Memory: Task cannot be started. Not implemented."

What to do ?

:wtf:

When you registered Kaspersky you should/would have been provided info regarding the support available to registered users.

Have you tried contacting Kaspersky yet ?

The Kaspersky forum is pretty good at getting issues resolved. You might be able to pick up a solution from just reading, if not, they'll give you step by step instructions if you post your problem.

Are you sure your computer is not infected with a Virus that is disabling your AV. Try download and run Spybot to check for spyware. At what point did you install AV; before or after you restored all your data?

I'd uninstall Kaspersky - run spybot s&d , malware bytes and ccleaner. After that i would run Dr.Web scanner and then install KIS 2010 .
