Hi

Thinking of trying a wisp for internet access (no adel where I am - Amberfield Valley in Centurion)
Anyone know if they have coverage in my area, had a look on their website, I don't see any maps etc.
Amobia does cover me, any other wisps worth looking at? I see there is dc-connect as well, but their prices seems quite steep. Anyone have any experience with their services? For example how badly is their 1mbp uncapped account shaped? I do about...3 to 4gig a day, usenet, torrent, youtube, etc.
Have some WUG kit, I should be able to use that to connect to them?

There are lots of threads for Amobia and I used to be a costumer of them as well. Great service and loved their product. I had the 3mbps capped product and wish I could get it again at my new place. Have heard great things about Kawuleza as well and their site survey is free and you can use their products for 5 days for free as well, so check that out!

Go to www.wapa.org.za

Fill in the form, and you'll get the responses from all the WISPs that cover your area.

I'm in Pretoria East and neither Amobia or Kawuleza have coverage, but there are a few others that do.

I'm on Wipronet and so far their service has been nothing short of outstanding. My only gripe with them is they do not offer an uncapped option. They contacted me after I filled in the form on the WAPA site.
