Not really, by saying it was assisted suicide he is admitting he did kill him....

Assisted suicide is illegal as well, the cops must have a rock solid case against him for him to give in like this...

Well, it's double blow for the family if they accept this claim. Insurance wont pay out for a suicide...plus he killed the guy. Sounds like they got it in for the Kebble family.
