Keeping vehicle registered in another province

I am registered with my mother's address but I used my CPT address when I renewed via FNB. Nothing was said about the different addresses.

If it makes any difference I am renting in CPT.

I'm guessing you kept your license up to date, usually when you do that they don't bother that much.

I did yes, maybe try an online channel to renew. The less time you can spend face to face with a government employee, the less time you will have to deal with their "authority".
