Looking for a new keyboard to replace my POS Redragon Karura.

Ideally not more than R1000, ideally mechanical or at least good quality keys (this kak one doesn't take key strokes at times).

Had a redragon as well, the "s" key went "sssssssssssssssssssss" when you pressed it
goedkoop koop is duur koop, get a steelseries or something... using a proper brand membrane now,
in my humble opinion mechanical is overrated.

Yea it doesn't have to be mechanical. It just needs to work, which seems to be the mechanical's advantage. I make 5 corrections in typing that previous sentence. I think I will make a "Die ****head keyboard" video when I get the new one.

They all die at some stage. Logitech G410 lasted 2 years. Corsair Strafe doesn't enjoy strafing anymore the "D" is starting to give up.

Let me guess your "S" is broken for retreating all the time :D

For a grand you not going to get decent mechanical. Just about double that and you can get yourself something nice with RGB.

It's a few keys, though the D is failing most. Guess I've been giving you the D too often :(

I don't care for RGB, it's off most of the time.

Corsair fan here. Haven't had any issues with their mechanical keyboards. Still running my k70

I would of course highly recommend their keyboards. :coffee:

Boring old reliable standard layout keyboard that won't **** around with you, no wireless latency, Christmas lighting, not overly flat or other bullshit gimmicks..

A friend of mine had to return his Corsair Mechanical keyboard twice some years ago.
I am happy with my Redragon yama, but someone else said the super cheap Marvo mechanical KB felt better to them.

Mechanical can't be beat when it comes to typing. Even the cheapies.

I had a cooler master storm keyboard that started doing that, really infuriating!! Eventually I just couldn't take it anymore and bought a Logitec G815 that I am happy with, but they are expensive.

FWIW I did see that Cash Crusaders were selling new some cheap (R600) mechanical keyboards from some Chinese company I had never heard of. They actually looked pretty decent and felt great to type on, but no idea how good they really are. If you have a Cash Crusaders close to you, maybe check them out.

Yup I picked up the cheapest Mechanical last year, R199 each. Has been great, only kak thing is the lighting.

This guy know what he's talking about.. kids gave me a R400 Marvo KG914G jobbie for xmas, it has BLUE KEYS and is just the best little thing I've ever typed on.

Spacebar issue? A certain production series had a spacebar issue, but it was quickly resolved on Corsair's side.

@UrBaN963

I have ordered this keyboard to be used on an old rig I have,

I am receiving it at some point this week and will let you know, they say it is blue-like.

I wanted to get a Redragon, but comparable Redragons are twice the price.

Generally, there are accessible 'Ducky' keyboards where you can switch switches which isn't expensive.

I dislike the older Logitech keyboards because their switches are soldered on, however, with basic knowhow it isn't an issue. Omron G-Romers are easily obtainable.

There is also this keyboard,

but I know nothing about T-Dagger, and the RGB is rainbow

At Least Gamdias has its own production going, and they have their own switches. I have never used one. Linus had one back in 2013 when the company started out,

a lot should have changed since then.
