That 7 years warranty on the Hondnaai is coming to bite them in the arse now.

From 1 July you can service your car at any RMI approved place and the warranty is still in tact, they gave the long warranty as they know they can make money back on services at the stealership.

The Kia which is the subject of the OP also has 2 airbags. I don't blame them too much though, in fact I admire the fact that they manage to scam so many people looking at their sales figures.

At least the higher end models have 6 airbags as an option.
2 airbags on the Yaris regardless of model.
And 2 airbags on the Urban Cruiser with NO ESC.

Bit disappointed at the non-turbo Sonet not having 6 airbags and a 6 speed auto. 2 airbags with a CVT is a bit of a letdown.

That's why you need to stray from the beaten path of mainstream manufacturers if it's value for money you are looking for. Kia and Hyundai are well know con artists, you should have known something odd awaits you.

The Haval H2 Luxury at R319k has all of way you want and more, the Auto is slightly more expensive though but the price is totally justified for what you get. Pay particular attention to the safety spec of all te cars you are considering, many people tend to overlook tat after they have seen te keyless entries and rain sensing wipers.
Haval is Chinese and unproven with possibly old technology.

This is why you stick with brands such as Toyota, Suzuki, VW, Ford etc if you can.

I wouldnt touch Haval after some of the experiences friends have had with them.
When your vehicle costs less than everyone else and has more bells and whistles then its going to be lacking somewhere else...

It certainly has more recent technology than Toyota, Suzuki and Ford cars in the same class, only VW can claim to be better and that would be reflected in the price.

Chinese and unproven? Most certainly, something to take some comfort in when your proven, non Chinese Ford do what Fords do.

Most of the dealers run these scams. You seldom find a vehicle available at the advertised price. There are always "on the road fees", or options that aren't really options. My favourite is: "Oh the spec advertised at X price would have to be ordered from the factory and take 6 months but we have these models with the R30000 unnecessary extra thing available right now and by the way we charge another R10000 to register, check and wash it before delivering it".

Not necessarily, the only problem with Haval is that the reputation of Chinese cars precedes it, people will usually cause more of a scene when it start giving issues because it's Chinese, the exaggerations will always be there because it's Chinese, I am sure the issues Haval cars have are nothing out of the ordinary compared to other mainstream cars.

That's what I will never understand, don't people believe in the concept of value for money? If a Polo has more spec than an Audi A1 you will have a problem because it's a Polo?
This is basic human psychology unfortunately.
To apply objective thinking otherwise makes you the exception.

Just recently the Toyota branded Baleno became an overnight hit.

Strange creatures we are, comfortable with what we know or we think we know.

Because it's a Polo, yes! Polo is high risk for vehicle theft and hijacking

Ì don't have a Ford. Actually neither does my wife. We both drive Toyota.
Man, when you assume too much and look like a fool afterwards!

Stick with your Chinese cars dude. There's a real reason why they don't sell as much here. Unproven, and a tough market to break into really. Go see the sales stats.
