I got a Suzuki Ignus as a courtesy car it was auto with a P (Park function) - scared the hell out of me, drove it for a week found the most flat spot to park in and park it in R or D depends on the incline and pull the handbrake through the roof.

The plus side was when I collected my car after it felt like a McLaren P1

Are you sure about the airbag thing? Even my wife's 5+ year old Up has 4 airbags. And that is quite literally the minimum a new car should (barely) be able to get away with.
I am, Kia and Hyundai have been running their successful scam for years, they are not going to stop now. Did you know that many Hyundai cars still come without Stability Control? even on the SUVs, looking at the big bucks you pay you would expect at least an effort on the safety specs.

The HYUNDAI Venue has 2 airbags across the range, even for their top spec that retails for R368k, 2 airbags across the range for the Sonet, 2 airbags across the range for the Nissan Magnite, same for both the Brezza and the Urban Cruiser.

Yet people still look at you funny when you talk about the value for money coming from the Chinese.

The Kia website says the below, I think you might have gotten a retarded salesman.
I think the problem is that all their cars come in metallic paint, there's no option for anything else.

That's rediculous, why would anyone pay that kind of money for such mediocrity. You can get much better value for money somewhere else, I'd suggest somewhere other than the french of chinese though. Friends don't let friends buy that ****.

That sounds like a scam.

Yeah, the South African car buyer is an enigma I have given up trying to figure out, it's just beyond me.

Who cares about things like safety and value for money? Those are at the bottom of a car buyers list.

Yet again our wonderful mainstream media like some24 idiots took all their time to show failures at Ford that apparently cost ONE live which until now could not be proofed but idiots24 did their best to protect the failure of a certain well-known Japanese make w.r.t. roll-overs as well as airbag failures which destroyed the lives of many. This same WELL known Japanese manufacturer now rely on Suzuki a Daihatsu to build vehicles for them. Suppose they will blame these companies for failures.

The less said about media around the motor industry, the better, I think they are bought and paid for.

Or you’re one of the idiots who doesn’t purchase cars cash.
 Not everyone is born with a silver spoon up their pretentious behind, nor is everyone a self-made millionaire.

There‘s nothing wrong with financing a vehicle if one doesn’t have that kind of disposable cash on hand. Its just that one shouldn’t overreach with their purchase (balloons etc.) to try and afford something that isn’t within their means.
