Kids: how many were you and how many have you now?

After reading some interesting literature online that single child families have started to outnumber 2 child families (UK stat), I have some questions for you forumites.

I come from a 3 child family and currently have 1 daughter. Wife comes from a 2 child family. I am happy with my daughter. Wife wants one more though.

What family did you and your partner come from and what have you ended up with or intend ending up with?

My side, 2 children, wife side, they are 4. We have 2 children now.
I always wanted 12 kids, but after the first one, I couldn't imagined that I could spawn anything better than her. So I wanted to stop, but wife convinced me 2 years back. 2nd one was born last month. Second daughter, that is 3 to 1 now. I get a feeling I'm gonna loose some fights in the future.

Edit: just want to add, in the past, every time a baby was born in the family or among my friends, people would say: "Awww, he/she's so beautiful." I could never understand how they could view this ugly little creature in their hands as beautiful. And I still stand on my point, in my life, I only saw 2 beautiful babies.

Both wife an I are the eldest of 5. Can't have kids but have fostered a 4 year old boy 10 months ago that we planning to adopt and possibly a sister for him next year.

3 of us. (+1 Also have a step brother but he is half my age and we did not grow up in the same house).

I have 3 kids but no more spawn for me (spawn points decommissioned).

My great-grandfather (my father's grandfather) was one of 12 kids born to same parents.:erm:
My grandfather on my father's side only had 2 kids (sons)
My father & mother had 3 kids (2 sons, 1 girl)
I have 2 kids (sons)
... and now I have 3 grand-daughters
