Very talented player but he doesn't ever play the situation and for the team. He'd be at the crease at 20/3 and he will look to play his booming drives and be aggressive. When it comes off, it looks spectacular but he doesn't seem to ever want to grind any innings out. That must be frustrating.

Yes, that was Australia's plan for him which is why he was Siddle's bunny...just give him consistent line and length outside off and he will try toi smash everything

Not always true.

Do you remember his 100 against the Indians in India ? 'twas one of the best ever played in those conditions.

That qualifies as the exception that proves the rule. He *can* play the conditions, he's just arrogant enough to believe that he can blast his (and his team's) way out of any situation.

Well his record says that he managed to blast his way out of trouble more then just occasionally. Sure he may have made more runs playing the safer way but that wasn't his way and his method has worked for him.

Pretty funny england dropping their only player opponenets held any fear for .

In the last 9 years where KP has been in the squad, England have been more successful than ever. He has scored more runs at a higher and higher run rate than anyone else (not the 5 game wonders). He has turned around games for them at vital stages. He was man of the tournament at the last world cup. He is one of the most destructive batsmen in the game and has the ability to totally demotivate fielding teams.

So yes, he's an arrogant prick, but he is not the cause of England's problems.

Agreed. That knock against us where he took Steyn apart was epic. He saved them from a whitewash in that match.

Seems like when things are going well, then he's not an issue. But when things are not, then he's the one to blame. There are 11 players in a team after all.

Englands more successful period in tests matches coincided with Pietersen's inclusion in the team. He was England's best batsmen by a country mile.

More of a laugh considering that he was their best scoring batsmen during the Ashes.

The Poms are an arrogant bunch and they are using KP as a scapegoat. I wouldnt be surprised if he is back in a years time....

in the interim he can fill his pockets to his hearts content with the global T20 circus.

They estimated he can earn between 2-3 million pounds for 6 weeks IPL this year!

Yeah, hope he ends up opening the batting :D

He is an entertainer par excellance..... I can see him easily smashing a few 100's on the sub-continent roads.....
