Eskom warns load-shedding could happen at short-notice as whole power station trips

Eskom has warned that it could implement load-shedding at short notice after all five running units at Kriel power station tripped on Monday morning.

"During the early hours of this morning there were two electrical faults in quick succession in the high voltage yard at Kriel Power Station," the state-owned power utility explained.

If only they had a connecting piece that was easy to replace like a piece of metal with appropriate amperage that would break apart when the load is exceeded then all they have to do is replace it and they are good to go again

To be fair, when a fuse of that size blows, it does so for a reason. Replacing the fuse without knowing why it tripped, is when you need to replace two fuses.

I was drinking a beverage called Fuse Tea when I invented this, so I’m going to call it a “fuse”.

Wow, Escum have a new excuse maker!
It must be Climate Change causing "Heavy Mist" that causes a power station to trip!
Come on Escum, some of us passed matric with much more than 30%!!!!!!!
Escum should look internally for the reason why an entire power station trips.

Been there done that. Have blown a few fuses in quick succession.
