Good news for Kusile Power Station

Eskom says its temporary solution at Kusile Power Station is proving effective and it is on track to complete the repairs to the permanent flue-gas duct stack by December 2024.

The state-owned power utility published an update on the use of temporary stacks at the power station, which South Africa's National Air Quality Officer approved through a postponement of the Minimum Emission Standards (MES) policy in June 2023.

Whatever happened to the power station that took 15 years to build and the blew it up within a month or two.

Such a well organized bunch of techies.. Should be up and running in no time at all..

Is breathing an abundance of sulphur-dioxide less dangerous than Covid?

Celebrating mediocrity as always. And we're handcuffed to these incompetents!

Not sure what the good news is? Yes we have power but we are pumping crap into the atmosphere?

It is equivalent to "Here have a cookie! It fell on the ground and the dog ate half but good news it is chocolate chip!"

Prefer Pratley's Steel to duct tape. Can never find the beginning of the tape.
I can just imagine what the "repair" looks like and costs (more than a new installation I guess) and wonder how long it will last, taxi mechanic style. Anyone know who did the work?
