We are in the 21st century

21st century started on 1 January 2000 and will end 31 December 2100
Yes....indeed.
Depends where one starts the count from though. There are a multitude of different cultures around the world that doesnt align to the Gregorian count. The joys of multiculturalism. In fact more of the world's population culturally align to a different date (culturally of course..as to your initial point) than the gregorian.

And why the gregorian count at all one might ask.

Back on track though....its indeed a funny story were it not for the sheer stupidity.

Mad as a hatter. And I suppose this brainfart theory fits in with the prevalent view in some backwards parts of the world that it's only the "bottom" that's gay?

Slightly more bizarre than the Prophet himself who concluded that if a fly lands in your food dunk the whole thing in as one wing has a disease and the other wing has the cure.
Not to mention drinking Camel piss to cure illnesses.

Who are we to argue.

Well ... stranger things have happened. People actually believe in Donald Trump and have actually elected him into the office of President of the United States of America.

A Kuwaiti woman, who describes herself as an academic, has claimed gay men have a worm in their backside that 'feeds on semen’, according to local media reports.

In a bizarre clip, posted on social media by US-based MEMRI who covers stories from the Middle East, Mariam Al-Sohel reportedly said she has found a ‘cure’ for homosexuality.

Speaking on Scope TV, a broadcaster based in Kuwait City, the purported anti-gay researcher said her ‘cure’ is based around ‘therapeutic suppositories’, inspired by ‘Islamic prophecies’, and founded in science.

I'm not sure which part is more disconcerting; the part where an "academic" who is presumably paid for her "research" believes this horseshyte, or the part where somebody gives her airtime to blurt it out.
