I think that would be a fair assessment. lol However SA absolutely shyte the bed in this regard, you don't exactly acquire wealth and equality overnight, their attempt to try and do it in a short period of time, has been a complete clusterfk.Don't have a problem with doing it, have a problem how they went about it, especially if you systematically destroy.There is still a tremendous amount of hatred with regards to apartheid, older generation has made peace with it sort of.The problem comes in form of the younger generation.

I was born after the great depression and 36 odd years after WWII, impact of that doesn't bother me in the least, as it wasnt part of my generation, the same is applicable to the post 1994 generation. I wonder a show of hands who has heard of the term black tax ?

I don't think you quite grasp the concept of what white privilege actually entails .To put it simple if you are part of a race that in any way or form hampered another's ability to build wealth or same opportunity, then you are privileged. Working hard has nothing to do with. Anyone can work hard, what matters is what you get in return for that work, and it isn't always equal nor fair.

Under that definition. Black people are privileged in South Africa.

That was not part of my post but, since you raised the subject........

The area of the good old ZAR was the area between the Vaal and Limpopo rivers and, when the boers moved there after their exit from the Cape, the area was largely depopulated due to the depredations of Mzilikazi who, on his own, exterminated twenty eight tribes quite apart from the efforts of other blood crazed chiefs like Mantatisi.

The wretched survivors were only too glad to accept the protection of the boers and neither group had a clue or care about what was under the ground they lived on; only later did foreigners flock in to mine what was underground and they invested heavily to extract and process the ore. Whatever was paid at the time was acceptable to all parties.

The result of this was that all the inhabitants of the good old ZAR ended up as canon fodder after the Jameson Raid and resultant war.

Back to the subject of price paid:
