The problem, as I see it, is that the items were forcibly removed. Even if they were authorized to assist in distribution, the manner in which it was done is not justified.
The only person who escalated the incident is the Karen, I wish I could say she had learnt her lesson but I know the type. A reasonable person would have arrived there and made sure of the facts before going on a tirade and starts accusing people of things.
