Yes, so at that point the shooting is justified. What you are failing to understand is that the cops shouldn't have ever let it get that far.

Heck I've seen videos of cops going up against drugged up machete wielding crazies, and still not fire a single shot and no injuries on either side.
Outtakes from Stephen Seagal Lawman by any chance?

They were still approaching him and he started running and attacking. There was zero space or time for nice conversations.

Prior to the cops arriving he was already involved in an illegal activity and if he had any little bit of sense he knew the cops were coming. Stop looking for excuses. in this case the cops could not have done anything different.
In what world am I looking for excuses? The guy made bad decisions and paid the ultimate price.
However, that doesn't mean the other parties involved behaved flawlessly.

They were wearing black uniforms in the blackness of night while pointing a flashlight at him and we expect Myeni should have been able to identify them as cops? I don't think that's a great argument

Personally I would probably also have run, but we all have different fight or flight instincts and as an ex rugby player I imagine the fight response is stronger with him.
REALLY? Are you just forgetting to ask what he was doing there in the first place? Picture the scene. I am committing a crime, (trespassing and probably more besides) suddenly people appear armed and try to apprehend me. You are suggesting that its natural for me to assume that these people are criminals?????"?"

Archer, re-read your posts. His comment is entirely justified.

That woman sounded scared as hell. You need to tell us what the cops should have done when they arrived. Set up a perimeter? Call for backup? Used a megaphone?
Kekeke, so now cops should react based on how loudly people scream? Really??

91 Coelho Way, Honolulu, Haiwaii. Seems the place is under new ownership or, so I think. I am curious what may be going on at the property?

BTW, when I looked up that property I went down a rabbit hole, the question is what was Myeni doing there?

My theory is that he's been there a few times before, but this time there were new tenants.

Incorrect on so many counts. He is suspected of commiting a crime. They don't know if he was invited, if the woman is lying, if he actually commited a crime, if he has mental issues or 100 other things that could reasonably explain the situation. And just because someone is caught in the act so to speak does not warrant the drawing of guns.
It's quite shocking how some of you guys think cops should behave normally. You're seemingly quite happy for cops to default to what should literally be the absolute last resort.

Just think about it for 5 seconds. Do you think the cops were ever in control in that video? Oh yes they were, when the guy was dead. Amazing police work. Didn't even ask the civilian to go back in the house for her safety that's how confident they were amiright

So at what second in the video should their actions have deviated and how should it have deviated?

That place is a castle in that particular area, with a dodgy history in what seems to be still unresolved matters.

Drawn guns being the last resort? So they need to increase their own risk in being the last to draw?

So when randoms approach you in the darkness of night and shout at you to get down you comply? Interesting
Police approached the house with no sirens or lights, and the officer who's body cam we see did not identify himself.
Re-think. You are committing a crime.. People approach and shout at you to get down. And you think they are randoms?????
