They probably owed him money for services rendered.

It could have been a normal neighbourly dispute turn violent which is not uncommon. All I am saying is that the particular residence where it happened is nothing ordinary.

Why did he only take his shoes off ? If he had stripped nobody would have seen him in the dark.

Just remember that a camera does not quite capture the lighting as good as the human eye. You see a lot less than the cops can see.

I can be an ass and speculate two things, women (or singular, woman) and drugs.

Earlier this year dutch cops shot a suspect in the leg. Seems like the training they undergo actually works. Who knew if you train people to aim for the legs they are more likely to be able to hit the legs? Truly astounding.
They shot a burglar in the leg, rather than deploying non-lethal means like the Hawaiian police did initially? And that's a good thing?

The Dutch are largely unarmed so the chances of the burglar being armed with a firearm was low.

You want to know why American cops shoot so many more people than their European counterparts? Because they're going up against more criminals armed with guns. When you shoot a person in the leg they can still shoot back.

I was most impressed by the vintage VW camper parked up front.

The only reason I looked into the property is because I know about one thing. Prositution is illegal in Hawaii. When I saw the Hawaii News Now news report and them reporting on many vehicles with people coming and leaving I thought, damn, this must be an illegal brothel, but then... like I said, rabbit hole, but I won't be surprised that other things are going on there.

People living on other peoples money… they live like it is their last day on Earth.

Dunno about Hawaii but it is a pacific island but in NZ (also a pacific island) it's customary to do so.

I am sorry but you marched into someone's house and then demanded their car. I dont know of you but that's robbery and not some bullshit Zulu custom. Also in any customary, its bad news to walk into someone's house without being invited in. But you could heard by the frantic screams of the woman. I mean really, do you think people will just invite you for tea now knowing who you are when you marched into their house. You couldve been Hannibal Lector.,

Then you didnt listen to the cops, you actually attacked the cops. Bad enough they tried to tazer you. So by then you should have gotten the idea, but you didnt. You attacked them again, with one ending up in hospital. If you had gotten hold of the gun, many more could have been dead. The cops were doing their job.

So in all honestly, you attacked someone, and now you want to blame the cops because they had no option but to defend themself, and defend the others. If it was war, you wouldve been shot dead just running to attack the soldier.

Im sorry whether you had a gun (yet or not) you were guilty. And the cop rightfully got attacked twice. In matter of fact you attacked all 3 cops.

So the real question is, if you're such a good guy, why the hell did you invade someone's house, then attacked all 3 cops, sending them to hospital too with injuries. That doesnt sound like a good guy, but someone intent to kill them.

So what was wrong at home for you to have done this. I bet there must be something as people dont suddenly snap. And the wife should have noticed it already. But she let him go. Clearly a fight? Possibly divorce?

Its only customary in Asian countries (not to bring dirt from outside inside the house, thus keeping the house clean). There is a step in the house with the shoes left in the doorway or in a shoe rack at the front door.

People who respect the law or law enforcement don't get shot by the police. Fact.

Moral of the story, in all these fatal shootings I've seen, the deceased had not complied with orders from the enforcement officer.

The cops don't need training - it's delinquent citizens needing a sense of morality.

Been to NZ? It's certainly customary there for the reasons you described.

OT:

A old friend of my who lives in New Zealand for a few years already moved in next to a brothel. One day he brought it up jokingly in discussion and then sent me a link to the brothel's website.

It was for a moment after viewing the website the most desirable location in my thoughts. Two Japanese ladies running the men, and women, of the town.
