That stupid woman's overreaction probably had much to do with his death. Screaming, hysterical and making out as if he was a threat.
He was clearly calm and not a threat.
And the police should've announced themselves.
Ridiculous what happened.
You call her stupid, but would you feel the same about your wife if some random stranger entered your home and claimed to know you? And yes, he's a huge guy.
She was rattled. To say he wasn't a threat is easy in hindsight... except he put two cops in hospital. All I'm saying is that depending on your state of mind, it could go either way.

Wasn't he in the house for seconds? And then left.
He even said sorry as he was leaving.

It's starting to look more and more likely that the cops were in the wrong here
I disagree. The cops, not knowing much about the situation yet, orders him the stop and get on the ground. He refuses and instead starts to attack the cops. The cops, while getting punched in their faces and getting knocked out, tasers him. It fails to stop him and he continues to attack.

He is literally sitting on top of a cop who is pretty much unconcious at this stage when he is fatally shot.

The prince was in the wrong. Not only was he on the wrong property, he didn't leave even when the woman gave him the opportunity to do so by making a pretend 911 call (before making a real 911 call), but he also attacked before anyone could do anything sending a couple of cops to hospital.

Again, in the 911 call the woman says he is not armed, but the cops don't know this for a fact. They always have to be careful because they never know who they're dealing with

It says he may have mistook the house for a Hare Krishna temple. Would that explain why he took his shoes off? He left his house to get some air. Does it explain why he'd want to go to a temple? I don't know.
Here’s a plot twist, he might have been a Krsna devotee, the temple is behind that house.

Instead of thinking about it like a place of worship, think of it like a ‘park’. No one is trying to sell you religion there.
You know what’s another term for clearing your head? Meditation.

Maybe I’m wrong and he was on drugs, high on Krishna Consciousness

Wasn't there a cop there talking to him already when the others arrived?

That doesn't mean a woman wouldn't find it majorly unsettling. He entered, left then went in again before finally leaving and apologising. It was very weird.
And what was the "let me see your phone" about?
As a South African, I'd find it highly suspicious.

And what's interesting is that almost every news outlet is spinning it one sided. With the amount of GBV around it's not unusual for a woman to feel threatened by a strange man, especially one who looks capable of doing damage, in your home uninvited.

This is what happens when you just join a thread and have no idea what is going on :p
I've been here since the beginning but whatever. He apparently talked to a cop. Details around that isn't very clear. He went back and attacked that cop he apparently talked to. He attacked all 3 cops

It's starting to look more and more likely that the cops were in the wrong here, this is from an American source.

It's interesting how easy it is for a Police force to manipulate the narrative when they hold all the cards and there's virtually no oversight in that process other than via the courts. That's why if you are poor and are unfortunate enough to find your case in the hands of police that are not particularly interested in justice you are screwed.

If the family didn't have money for an expensive lawyer getting the ring footage would probably not have been possible, or at the very least not until it was too late.

“The police had three things in their possession on April 15 when they started making public statements about this case,” Bickerton said. “They had the 911 call, they had the body camera tape and they had the Ring video. They chose to release two out of the three. When you see all three together it tells a very different story.”

I watched the video.

Hmm.

So he goes in, stays too long. Goes back.. he sees people freaking out.. and still stays INSIDE the house (and asking to see the phone ?) . Then he leaves the house but stays on the property. The lady is stressed all the time. He should have just left and go! Why hang around ?

And then he tries to go rambo on the cops.

Yea.. maybe he was pissy about being chased out of the house. And attacks the cops (maybe he thought it was the husband chasing him away)

But he played stupid game attacking the cops...

edit: I had it happen going into wrong yard... realised it and GTFO. Don't hang around uninvited....

Amazing how people now suddenly think oh he was calm in the house, so he didn't deserve to get shot. He didn't get shot because he was on the wrong property. He got shot because he savagely attacked 3 cops.

I still wonder what the cops should have done otherwise while being punched and getting knocked unconcious...

They could have put on that blue flashing light. They could have identified themselves. They could have de-escalated the situation instead playing Rambo.

He was on the wrong property (and INSIDE the house, freaking the people out) ... and he goes rambo. Good choice attacking anyone coming towards you. He gambled with the attack and lost.
