Hi guys,

For the past 2 months I have been receiving half my salary at the end of the month and the rest when ever they have the funds. This is a big company and I know that they are able to pay full salaries. My question of concern is that this is against the law in SA right ?

Salaries should be paid no later than 7 days after the period for which it is paid (for a monthly salary, that would make the 7th of the month) as per the basic conditions of employment act.

Although late payment is usually not of the competency of the CCMA.

Your best chance is either:
- contact the local department of Labour;
- make an official grievance to your employer.

Best thing to do is try to move your Debit Order date out as you can under these circumstances
