Ladies: why would you call a guy "Sweetie"?

Which exhibit are you Edelweiss?
Your post comes across as a bit bitter, like you have a chip on your shoulder about what women supposedly want.
So I'm guessing you are also exhibit A!

Yes I am. You have good insight. Guess I have to fight my genetic predisposition and acquire some traits of exhibit B.

you should have added ... bitch ... to the end of that sentence :D just to make it seem that you are trying to go for exhibit B

I'm also an exhibit A kind of guy and, yes, most of my friends are female (which I prefer, don't have much interest in other men)
However I don't think you are correct about what women want. I've had some success with love too, so clearly there are women out there who appreciate good guys - perhaps you are attracted to women who prefer exhibit B so that's the problem.
It could also be age. When I was in my early twenties I did struggle a bit because of what you described, but once I reached my late 20's that effect disappeared. Women who are older have more experience and awareness of what they are getting themselves into and what they actually want. The bad boy mystique wears thin very quickly

+1

I'm also the A type - with a bit of B. Soft and gentle, but definitely no walk-over. The Bad Boy attitude wears thin quickly. Women in their late 30's are starting to look for someone reliable.

Anyway - the type of women you pick up with purely Exhibit B characteristics sometimes leave a bit to be desired. Most of the time not long-term material.

Before I'd reached the end of your post, let alone the first few comments, all that came to mind is...'zoned. ;)

Sorry chap. If she'd wanted something, you'd have known by now.

You've got it wrong.

OP, if YOU wanted something, you should have let her know by now. Now she thinks you are not interested in her. You friendzoned yourself by not doing anything.

I read though the opening post again.
My wife does call me Sweetie, but in hindsight, it only started that after I started spending nights (Yes. I had a toothbrush at her place)
You've been friendzoned so hard - you could end up meeting her boyfriend's parents. :wtf:
