Semen from 29 donors were placed in room-temperature Petri dishes, 3 centimetres from a laptop which was actively connected to Wi-Fi, for a few hours.

Lol. And in other news, couches could be a cause of obesity.

while samples placed next to a laptop without an active Wi-Fi connection were less abnormal
How much less abnormal?

my 2c...
I sit with a laptop on my lap for at least 2 hours every day (excluding the normal 8+ hours I work on with it on a desk) and I still managed to become a daddy.

A report from Argentinean scientists states that electromagnetic radiation from Laptop Wi-Fi could reduce sperm motility

Motility is a biological term which refers to the ability to move spontaneously and actively, consuming energy in the process. Most animals are motile but the term applies to single-celled and simple multicellular organisms, as well as to some mechanisms of fluid flow in multicellular organs, in addition to animal locomotion. Motile marine animals are commonly called free-swimming.

.. and here I almost thought they spelled mobility wrong. Learn something new every day.

9% of the wifi sample was abnormal. Just about a 3x increase in abnormality over the non-wfi samples.

Yea but these results are meaningless in that sense because you don't walk around with your sperm in a petri dish 3cm away from your laptop. Extrapolating these results out to your testicles would be really whackadoo. Too many additional factors at play to make that call just yet.

What?!? Am I seriously the only one who does this?

So is it only laptop wi-fi? Meaning it's still perfectly OK to have a high-powered wireless router next to you all the time?

More interesting research would be how much wifi is needed to guarantee 100% wipeout of the little critters
