Dude. Not true. The coalition has repaired roads like mad and are also expanding infrastructure on roads that should have been upgraded decades ago.

Nope , the way it was "sold" to us before was

Electricity Markup covered network/infra/salaries etc
The service fee on postpaid was to cover infra/salaries needed to accounts etc needed for postpaid
Pre-Paid never had the service fee as there was no need for accounts / debtors

It is there to pay for network/infra/salaries

You not expecting electricity at cost ?

In JHB they had a different rational years back when this pre/post paid crap started
But from a service fee pov, there was a service fee on post paid to cater for costs related to debtor and account management
That is why their current explanation is BS

In ekh the unit prices for electricity are the same for post paid and prepaid as and even the service fee is the same on the high use option
The low use option has no service feed ( pre or post paid )

The R1000 per month is paying for what again? How many millions is that per month?
 
This is LUDACRIS as to expect people to pay extra R200 for no electricity.
If you want an extra R200 give us the tokens for it.
We pay for pre paid electricity...
The account holders are at fault for not paying theirs. Keep them accountable for the R200 on debt recovery fees.
Leave us as pre paid electricity users alone as we pay for what we want.
 
Finally recieved our CoJ account last night, luckily no surprises except for the expected increases and increased City Power electricity use.

Eish Major, it is nice writing and theory but I suspect everything goes into one big pot. Executives and/or councillors have the first grab for them and their tenderpreneur buddies, then comes salaries and wages and finally "other expenses", plant, maintenance (ha ha), services (water and electricity bought in) and materials, legitimate contract obligations and so on.
