The latest iMac's have finally showed up on the ZAStore.
As expected the Core pricing ass-raping continues.

The new mac mini server must be presenting a real pricing headache for Dick Van Spandork, since there is still no sign of them on the site.

At the iStore in the Waterfront, they do not have the new keyboard and mouse which goes along with it, they give you the old ones.
They are giving selling it at a "cheaper" price because of that.

They did the same things last time when the new flat keyboard came out. They claimed "everyone wanted the old one".

Got an original G4 PPC MacMini (like 2005 or whenever it was) that is as functional today as it was back then. In fact, I only upgraded this year to an Intel one.

Got one of the G5(maybe G4) 1.25 Ghz mac mini. Performs quite well still. Don't have much user for it anymore... Thinking of setting up as a Maven repo or something now.

So the latest load of bull$h1t from Core comes via Project 3, claiming that the Mac Mini Server won't be available in SA because it is an Apple (online) Store exclusive.
Somebody really should tell the independent apple retailers about that, since macmall, B&H and a whole bunch of others have it listed for sale.

MICE not mouses :)

mouse
noun (plural mice)
1 a small rodent that typically has a pointed snout, relatively large ears and eyes, and a long tail. [Many species, especially in the family Muridae.]
2 a timid and quiet person.
3 (plural also mouses) a small hand-held device which is moved across a flat surface to move the cursor on a computer screen.
4 a dull light brown colour.
5 informal a lump or bruise on or near the eye.

From my COED.

COED?

It seems that some dictionaries corroborate this position. At the end of the day the etymology of a computer mouse comes from the animal form - and the plural for that is mice, what has probably happened as more people have entered the world of IT and technology incorrect plural forms have started to enter common usage and dictionaries have adapted to reflect current fads, another example is "try and do something" vs the correct "try to do something".

Google still has many times more entries for 'computer mice' than 'computer mouses'. Computer mouses just sounds bad, as does virii not viruses.

Wow rwenzori has actually been correct once on this forum. Well done rwenzori to you and your COED.
