What do I need to know to get the job?
• Experience in managing a Development team
• At least 5 Years Development experience
• PHP (Yi Frameword is a plus)
• MySQL
• Apache (Nginx is a minus)
• Git
• Unix
• Java
• HTML5
• Objective C (iOS) an advantage
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services an advantage
• Strong organisation skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of timelines and budgets.
• Ability to grow professionally in a highly flexible and fast-moving environment.
• Formal software education will be to your advantage.
• Must be self motivated and self disciplined to work and manage a team remotely / from home.
• Additional optional requirements (All bonus):
• Additional Databases is a plus
• Worked with AWS tech
• Any other programming experience (10+ languages is an extra bonus)
• Experimental development from an young age (12)

What will I do every day?
You will work with a team that develops massively scalable solutions using the Amazon public cloud platform, Amazon Web ServicesTM as server platform supported by Apps built using Apple’s iOSTM platform, Google’s AndroidTM platform and the HTML5 mobile cross platform language. Their experience in developing solutions for a market with intermittent, relatively slow and
expensive Internet access, positions them well to serve customers in other emerging markets vs. solutions developed in markets with very fast and low cost Internet service.
They are looking for a Lead Development Architect to join and manage their growing development team. The ideal candidate will preferably have at least 5 years development and management experience with the appropriate qualifications. Strong PHP, Java, MySQL and HTML5 Skills required. Objective C (iOS) knowledge will be to your advantage. Exposure to
Amazon Web Services will be an advantage. The right individual for this role will be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work. You will also
be responsible for managing a growing team of developers. Strong leadership skills will be a requirement. This is an exciting opportunity to join a startup that is developing leading edge solutions based on Cloud services and deployment of mobile devices.

Firstly, thank you for mentioning a salary amount.

However, a Lead Development Architect with only 5 years of experience? That doesn't seem right.

And working from home? It's great in theory, but this is more or less what I do for a living as well (dev manager), and I've found that in practice a co-located team is just more effective and easier to manage.

Sure the devs get to work from home if they have big chunks to finish or need some isolation to focus, but managing it I have not yet found a better way than being in the trenches...

I was also like "Wait, what? I could be a lead architect??". Either there was a slip up with a template somewhere, or the people advertising this don't really know what they need, and don't know enough to realise that they don't know.
