Do you just say pointless things naturally or do you put real effort into thinking people give a sh*t what you think?

Jeez wasn’t meant to be offensive or anything, relax your buttocks.

It’s just a very odd place completely removed from all things touristy if holidaying in Cape Town.

I can’t think of a single attraction within a 5km radius. Possibly even 10km.

It’s hell and gone away from the wine lands so doesn’t work for that kind of holiday. Nowhere near the beaches so doesn’t make sense for that.

Even the mountain is quite an effort to get to from there.

Did you choose this place without any research into its location? Or did you have a specific need to be exactly there?

I'm tired of explaining myself for your amusement, Sauron, for you to just make sarcastic and ill-informed comments. You can relax your buttocks and continue on with your internet warrior life now ... and maybe next time you won't jump to assessments before asking some obvious questions.

the driving license thing is a painful lesson.
had something similar once happen to me.
The last time I renewed my license was because I was picking up a rental on travels in the next two days and checked it before I left.
While I was waiting for the renewal there was a very stressed looking guy sitting next to me, he was supposed to be catching a flight and had checked his license before leaving home only to find it expired. He ended up missing his flight.

Jesus Christ dude, who pissed on your battery?

It was a simple assessment made by a Cape Tonian and would likely be made by many others.

Nothing internet warrior or any of the sort.

I drive down there most days and work literally further down the same street, which is why I find it odd as a holiday destination. Therefore nothing ill informed about it either.

Most any other Cape Townian will too.

I did after all ask the simple questions, you just lost your ****, for no good reason at all, a single post before that which didn’t attack your person or anything of the sort.

Quite frankly your behaviour and responses are unwarranted and ridiculous.

I have no idea what you are so tired of, you could swear we’ve conversed every day for years or something, meanwhile I don’t recall even quoting you once this year.

I’ve never done anything but Uber to airports, since they’ve existed.

What is the concern exactly?

It has quitened down a lot but basically meter taxi violence around hot spots like or thambo and gautrain stations.

Mowbray is also kind of known for this sort of pretty thievery. A local would have known this, holidaymakers probably wouldn't.

Odd for it to be so high off ground level though.
Jesus bro, you think this happened to me because I didn't do what I could? So the burglars got up to the 4th floor, took out the window, bashed in the burglar bars and stole the valuables I'd left in the safety of the apartment rather than risking them in my car's boot ... and that's my fault as a holidaymaker? What would you have done, as a wise Capetonian hmm?

But then any taxi or drop off service would be problematic.

Can’t live life in a panic like that.

Nobody made it your fault, except yourself.

If anything he excused the fact that this happened to you because as a holiday maker you wouldn’t know better.

You seem to be reading a hell of a lot into everything tonight.

Nobody is having a go at you, so please stop the persecution complex, you are making yourself look really pathetic.

Cool down man, I was just saying. Mowbray is known for petty crime and some break-ins but you won't have known that if you're from out of town. In the same situation I'd have done exactly the same thing - no way I'd expect a criminal to go to that length just to pinch an iPad and a laptop. Unless he'd canvassed the building beforehand, which is possible.

If I were a Capetonian going on holiday to Cape Town I'd probably have picked either Table View or Muizenberg because I like the beach. Random incidents like that can happen anywhere though - not your fault, you're very much the victim here.

Just tired of douche Capetonians with their "haha, holidaymakers wouldn't know to expect their **** to get stolen". Yeah damn right I don't plan for that ... but now I will.

You got “tired” after a single post?

One which you completely misconstrued at that.

Damn, life must be ****ing hard.

Why would you leave your car at the airport? Those valet guys are dodgy as hell. You have no idea what they're doing with your car or where they're storing it while you're away. I'd rather leave my car home and Uber to the airport. Talking about Uber, why would you bother renting a car in Cape Town when you can just Uber everywhere as well? It's probably just as expensive as renting a car, without all the hassles and financial risk that come with renting cars.
Nope ... for my purposes it was way cheaper to rent than uber

It's easy ... for a temp licence you need two photos, R100-odd, a photocopy of your ID and a form which you fill out at the drivers licensing counter of the municipal offices wherever you find yourself. They print out the licence on the spot. The hard part was collecting the bits and pieces.

And I'm perfectly calm, Dave is just some pond scum so it's always fun to expose his lack of originality.
