Leaving country, have to cancel Telkom LTE, is it possible?

Guys it seems that people are struggling to cancel LTE contracts.
Would I be able to buy out of it? What is the procedure?
I am quite happy to go in store and do this but unsure how successful I will be.

In the same position here with a 24 month contract. I went in to their shop at Mall of Africa on the 18th and the lady there took a copy of my ID and cancellation form. She gave me a case number and said they'd be in touch.

I called 081180 now and she said that cancellations take 21 days to process but she's asked for that team to contact me to let me know what the cancellation penalty is. She also said that they would charge me for the remaining months.... I didn't feel like pointing out to her that they can't do that, I'll save that battle for the right person!
