Hey guys,

Has anyone left their cars at the airport for extended periods of time? (10 days +)
Is there a facility at Cape Town International to do this, and how much does it cost?

I usually leave my car at the airport for a few days on business trips, but I'm flying up to JHB to see family over the Christmas / New Year period.

Thanks!

I left mine there for 3 days... worked out to almost R100 a day in the long term parking. I think it is R50 per day over a certain min.

There is a web page with costs if you want to look for exact price.

There are also other services where they pick up your car and store it at a secure location and then bring it to you when you land. May or may not work out cheaper for long term stays.

If you can make it to the Civic Center then consider catching the Airport Shuttle, R55 one-way and takes 30-45 minutes. Runs every 20 minutes until 22h00

Any more ideas on this? Whenever you call the long-stay they just say "call us on the day... but its first come first serve"... so no idea why you'd need to call? But there we go... Right now I'm looking at around 17 days - so R900ish with Long stay, but R2500 with shaded... under R1000 I could put up with, but otherwise I may need to figure out if I can park at the office, and then take an uber!

Anyone used storewell? or any of the local non-airport ones?

Joh, just bring your car to me or leave it with me and I'll look after it.
Sure we can work out a much cheaper rate.
