Hi does anyone have experience with companies such as Legalwise or Clientele Legal? Or recommend another firm that won't cost a fortune.

i'd say it depends on what you need the lawyer for.

Nope. Advocates may be that and much more, but not the average lawyer.

ja average lawyers generally charge around R300 -R400 an hour, but thats just junior associates i think. But some lawyers charge different amounts for certain things...

Depends on which firm you go to and how senior the person is your working with. As a candidate attorney my wife could bill at R400/hour, on completion of her articles this went to R1000/hour as soon as she is an admitted attorney this jumps up again.
