The global narrative is that lockdowns will get lifted if everyone gets a Covid vaccine.

Are Afriforum implying that we shouldn't trust our ANC Government & the corporates supporting Covid vaccination in this regard?

With the amount of people who don't want to get the vaccine, we will be in lockdown till end of time if they want to go that route.

The lockdown in itself should be done away with. What exactly is the disaster at the moment? They can always reinstate it if there is a 4th wave that requires a state of disaster.

Yeah, probably easier to get a "victory" on an aspect/feature of the lockdown than to challenge the legality of the SoD in its entirety, even if we citizens would prefer the latter.

It's a bit pointless to do it now. We've had curfew for no reason from the beginning.

And most people ignore it anyways. Except maybe the covid Karens

Only problem is that if you ignore the curfew, you become an easy target for a random cop looking for a bit of additional "salary" really.

Also the curfew is pretty well observed by those businesses who run into the night so now you can't go get smashed at the pub until 2am anymore... they kick you out at like 11, and who the hell is drunk enough by that point.

You mean the same Government that stopped people from going to the beach?
Nothing that they do is rational.

Well technically they didn't actually stop you going to the beach, they just made it so you might get visited by the Twat in a Hat and his entourage of "VIP" Protection whilst you were chilling on the sand and then get arrested so the Twat in a Hat could have a photo opportunity.

Holding the public responsible for commitments made between governments and the vaccine manufacturers is not going to solve this specific problem.

Nah, it's useful for the future if another SoD ever has to be enacted (assuming the court rules in Afriforum's favour).

Also, the curfew affects the ability of SA to attract international artists etc. for concerts.

TBH, the curfew has minimal impact on our ability to attract international artists and what not since events are heavily curtailed at this point.

The curfew just fscks with things, and wastes police resources really.
