Legality of a shop with "no returns" policy?

Sorry for the ordeal. But my 5c...

If you ordered it and they said to you "We have one in that style/size, but it's used (only been worn a few times by random customers". Would you have accepted it?

If the answer is yes - then fight them for your money back in all senserity.

But if your answer is no - then you cannot realistically expect them to take back a used undergarment. Nobody will be happy to buy a used one. Why should they be saddled with it?

Thanks skeptic, I hear you, but it's never been worn - I bought a white one, ordered a coloured one, collected it without trying it on. Put it on to wear a few days later and it felt a bit scratchy - took it off immediately.

I would NEVER have the cheek to wear something and then claim it's uncomfortable, that would be like eating your steak and then refusing to pay because it was tough

Only after the shop gave me a hard time I checked the labels - same style, same size but manufactured in different factories, who woulda thunk.

I'm sorry, I didn't know....x
Have you ever considered reconstruction?

I did have reconstruction but I was stupid and didn't look after myself after the op.

All the surgeon said to me was "take it easy". No warning about lifting heavy objects, working - nothing - so the stitches came out and the prosthesis almost slipped right out. Emergency surgery fixed it but it's doesn't look great.

You see so many cosmetic surgeries that go wrong - thank goodness mine is under clothes.

Oh shyte....

You're not alone....mine are also hideous, with reconstruction....it was a difficult one and they're uneven but you don't notice unless you REALLY look...I also had botched nipple reconstruction, no fault if the surgeon, he did warn me but I took the chance and it didn't work and took 18 months to heal....

Thank goodness we're both fine though x

OMG, at you took a chance. My guy used one of my earlobes as a nipple - and you?

Look at our stories :X3: and here we are joking around, just shows what a positive attitude can do. xx

He told me before he had 2 options, either pinch skin or use the underneath of my baby toes....he said he'd only know once in theater, he had to see how much skin he had to work with.

When I awoke from surgery, he told me he had good and bad news. Good news is he pinched the skin, bad news was that, just before bringing me out of anesthetic, he sat me up to check if they were aligned. As they sat me up my left boob (that was the cancer one that had radiation) split. He immediately put me back under and had to do a full skin graft from my groin. I had an open hole, about 8cm in diameter for about 18 months until it closed. My poor ex had to change the dressing every single day - specialized plasters that cost an untold fortune. It's hideous to look at but fine with clothes....and I LOVE the fact that I never ever have to wear a bra ever again

Oh yes, I remember the freedom of not wearing a bra - that was before the OP.

Sweet, Ant sounds as if he treated you well.

Not ill fitting. The white one I tried on is soft, ordered another colour and collected it a week later - material is scratchy.
I would classify that as defective, especially seeing you had purchased the product before and had an expectation of the quality. Definitely grounds for a return unless the fabric difference was stated in the description.

I'm slightly allergic to polyester so I stay away from cotton blends with more than 40% polyester and quite often they get the fabric spec wrong on the website description, sometimes even saying it's 100% cotton when it's a blend. So I will return the item whether they allow it or not and I will kick up a scene if needs be.

Basically if you can ascertain that what you ordered wasnt what you got, then go for it. ie the white was sold as a certain fabric and the coloured the same but it wasn't as stated and you only discovered that when trying it on.

Agree, it's all in the fabric.

I'm going to email Wendy Knowler and see what she says.

Fortunately the labels are different.

Not? Wasn't EMAM an abbreviation. Thought the guy you're thinking of was after the reconstruction etc. but I might be wrong.
Could be wrong to, time has gotten really weird the longer it goes
