They likely wont fine you. Just make sure plates are visible and everything behind bumper is tied down. No loose parts flopping in the wind.

I recieved a warning once in Simmond str when I was still working at SBSA.

Copper just let me off with a warning. Same story... just the bumper skin was off for work.

Well you can't drive without a bumper, so put it back at the same time.

Perhaps you are just trying to avoid cameras?

No nothing like that, just this guy wants to respray and fix up my frint bumper,

But im unsure if its a great idea driving without a front number plate,
I drove almost this whole week without a rear one, but it was fine as the plate abovr the bumper,

Front is a diffrent story though..... seems like a bad idea from what i gather.....

Just warning... Don't respray a bumper unless it actually needs it. Some will see this as a sign of a major accident

Anyone who makes that connection should be able to actually check out the car for damage and be able to see that it has not been repaired and that it was only a bumper respray.

When your bumper is off lets see if there is any foams etc behind the skin please.

If you were in KZN you would be alright as lots of cars drive without numberplates here.

And if you put it on the front left instead of front center?
No that's fine as long as it's clearly visible from the front. My car is on the left (as it is meant to be - that's built into the bumper)

Question though, as i cant put it left or right,

What if i leave it on the dashboard?

Owners of new cars are allowed to drive around without number plates as long as there's a printed copy on the dash and rear window. I'm sure you could get away with the same thing for a day or two.

You say print a sign with my plate? And stick that? Where? The back already has one.

Its my front one only though, and the car isnt new......

Only thing im thinking now is remove the plate and leave it on the dashboard.....

But how legal is that? Sure scumral wont like it but sacrifice must be made.....
