Lawyers, advocates, doctors, etc etc....all proof that if you are poor you are not entitled to justice and health.

Nah, you can instruct the lawyer that he/you should only use xxxx. Mate picked his advocate for his first case and he selected him again as his advocate for a upcoming case. The rest however is correct except you will be able to consult with the advocate with the lawyer present. Money making scam of note.

I was generalizing. But the average member of the public who is suddenly hit with a new attorney and needs an advocate will be guided by the attornies choice - as in the "scam" move that attornies have certain advocates that they work well with. Of course you can request your Advocate of choice (but you need to be up to speed in past cases they have handled and ensure your choice is a spcialist in your area of law before the court -I don't recommend this route for someone with no exposure to the legal system) But let me tell you I once hired an attorney and she picked the advocate after twice discerning my preferred advocate was "unavailable" (as they can be on other trials, leave, what have you) and after some time I expressed dissatisfaction with the advocate and asked my attorney what if we replaced this advocate and to my astonishment. my attorney replied well if I get rid of the advocate then the attorney would also step down. I'll never forget that! But in General your attorney will usually tell you they recommend XXX advocate so be prepared.
@bokka1 - its generally more complicated than that - there's pupillage etc.
@ Havoc. thanks Will be doing this always from now on. except in matters that are too complex. One always runs the risk of a costs award against one for the other Advocates time so one really needs to be jacked up. I will elaborate on the nitty gritty of taxation of costs in a later thread. It's really one of the best kept secrets and I'll also show how its done.
