Very irresponsible...

Religious leaders have united to express their dismay at a custom range of Lego figures - including a "Toy Taliban" armed to the teeth with C96 broomhandle Mauser pistol, AK Assault Rifle and M67 frag grenades.

Children really don't need these kind of toys... just some daft buggers who want to make a quick buck...

Personally, there is not much people can do about these things going on.
I'd like the toy (if I could get one) if only just to LAUGH at the situation because I think people are just so stupid... blowing each other up... how lame!

LEGO figures have always had guns, these are just way cooler. If you look at the product website there is no mention of "Taliban" anywhere. I believe the figure that comes with the little Mauser Broomhandle and the AK is called the Bandit or something harmless.

What's wrong with it is that Barbie is an icon of the American dream - beautiful, wealthy, jet-setter, fashion trendy ... and a Barbie in a black bag is just wrong whichever way you look at it.

You may as well have a miss world competition where they skip the swimsuits and do a burka parade.

When I was younger all my lego men had those bland smiley faces and pirate swords. It was a dictatorship. There was one wizard and he owned all the boats and horses and dragons. Everyone with those bland smiling faces. It was a sea of conformity. These figures are exactly what I needed, some liberation: a new order. :p

Maybe these figures are for the massive number of LEGO Film Makers (just check Youtube and be amazed) and maybe these Film Makers want to make some sort of terrorist-bashing film. Just throwing it out there :p

Lego today issued a statement which reads: "LEGO® UK is not associated with the toys being sold by BrickArms, which have been customised without LEGO UK’s knowledge or permission.

The heading is a bit missleading

I could not give a fat rat's arse about the american dream, much less a barbie doll with a burka - it is not aimed at you, do not let it bother you, it does not matter, move on.

As for miss world? who gives a toss really?

Why do you care?

All I know is that when I was little LEGO did not make such nice themes as now and for that I will never forgive them!!:p
