Does anyone know how you go about claiming the warranty for a Lenovo laptop. I think the hard drive died because it keeps going to the blue screen in Windows 10 where you get the troubleshooting options. The hard drive doesn't always show up in the Bios and I even tried reinstalling Windows but no hard drive pops up to install it on. I got the laptop from Vodacom and they advise you to take it to Platinum Warranty. When checking on Hello Peter nearly all their reviews are negative as they seem to look for all types of excuses not to honor the warranty. So are there any Lenovo agents or something similar for a warranty claim.

One of these two vendors may have your notebook's serial number on their database. If they do, you can take your notebook into their offices to get your unit booked in under warranty.

If neither of them do, you could always replace the hard drive yourself with a more reliable SSD.

If you go to Lenovo support website on the device, or use the installed software, it usually tells you how long you have left of the warranty. I used the online service to schedule a call-out. They came to check the device after about a week.

Is there any other way to get to the support website. I can't get into Windows so I cant use the installed software.

I know I have 3 months warranty left but it is a depot/carry in warranty. Which is why I wanted to know where I can take it to in Cape Town to claim the warranty.

Partserve is more likely to be the agent to handle the warranty.

Agreed, but I've had Lenovo notebooks from customers where Mustek had the warranty service and not Partserve. It helps to find out from the distributor who to bring the unit to.
