Lens choice

Hi,

I'm quite new to this. Looking for a good "low budget" lens to fit a D40 Nikon. I heard both are very good entry level. Any other choices? Budget is R2500. Will prefer to buy in Durban if possible.

I saw that. Adding transport and insurance, it goes over R3k.
